random thoughts/ my heroes
we are all that we are not.
maybe this explains why people can take science in secondary sch and then jc, but go do arts in uni. take 6 years to confirm it. better late than never.
are we safer now? safer from who? ourselves?
all these issues about security is really, really a big paradox.
sometimes you do wonder who the real enemy is.
being filled with inhibition is really a lousy feeling to have.
absolutely hate it.
what do lukas podolski and aung san suu kyi have in common?
they are both my heroes.
lukas podolski on the field makes intelligent runs, take powerful shots and beautiful volleys, do flicks and the occasional chip.
but what i like most about him is his belligerence and confidence, with that touch of arrogance.
fearless.
as though no one can touch him.
i suppose it's a really little known fact that aung san suu kyi is my heroine. somehow not expected, i suppose. but i admire and respect her for her guts, faith and charisma.
leadership is something people talk alot, alot about. but sometimes i do wonder if they know what they are talking about. gives me the impression they are talking about everything else but it. anyway, sometimes things can't be expressed in words. like leadership. maybe it's because it comes from within, while words are external extensions of ourselves. like a plasticine model of something else. it can look like it, but it can never be it. maybe maybe.
but will i listen to aung san suu kyi? yes i will. that's all that matters.
some things are just so simple. but we make them complicated.
for what?
