valencia looks very good against inter. or maybe that's just cos inter's poor. comprehensive 2-0 victory. always looked comfortable.
in contrast to arsenal, who sort of struggled against a fully-fit PSG. clichy looks very good though. along with senderos. and diaby and hleb. but clichy was the best player for arsenal, i thought. wenger's gamble failed in the first half. flamini and diaby cant play on the flanks. and it stifles fabregas and denilson. in the second half, when he puts two players who stick to the lines, ie clichy and eboue, denilson and diaby had more space to run the midfield. and hleb looks happy playing in a free role, though that isn't viable, because bendtner doesn't seem like he can play as a lone striker. maybe eduardo can. so we have to wait and see.
but i think the emirates cup and the amsterdam tournament are the most exciting pre-season competitions, because they encourage attacking football, and also because they are played at two very nice, state-of-the-art stadia.
