tactically, they started as i had recommended. jill scott in midfield in place of a winger. tactically, they got it right. but you can't stop a 30metre shot. you can't prevent the individual errors.
it is a bitter defeat for england. they took the game to germany. i even dare say until the first 2 german goals, they were better than germany. and they did superbly to pull one back. game on.

england lost because the defence made so many individual errors. and germany are just so, so clinical. as they have been against norway and france.
i feel sorry for kelly smith. a great goal, a great assist. normally, that would have been enough.
