don quixote

according to orwell, there are two traits in us. base wisdom and noble folly.

"almost certainly, you are both. there is one part of you that wishes to be a hero or a saint, but another part of you is a little fat man who sees very clearly the advantages of staying alive with a whole skin"

in other words, are u Don Quijote or Sancho Panza?

how interesting to see that so many great minds in the world were so affected by Cervantes' work.

i guess it's time to pick up from where i left off so long ago.

but i guess i would start over again, from the very beginning.

"perhaps sometimes, through the force of belief, you can make things real."-from muranda france's don quixote's delusions- travels in castilian spain

a very interesting book. the book which got me all interested in don quixote again, that made me want to resume reading it. and i did gain a better understanding of spain via miranda france's book. how she juxtaposes the book with the nation. i like the way the book develops. it flows nicely, and cleverly.

it is not that easy to figure out what comes first, what comes next, what comes last, to make everything flow perfectly.

but then again, sometimes it can be so easy that you need not think too much. just wait for the idea to come to you. and everything's done. luck, you call it. maybe?

i call it a moment of magic.
