anew

so, what do you want to do now?

watch the sunrise over the pacific.

any particular reason?

it was her last wish.
***
goodbye, to the one i once loved.

she took a deep breath and swung the sledgehammer at the sculpture. the monument to their love.
***
watching her play the violin that autumn, i suddenly realise how much the violin, autumn and her have in common. the violin is like autumn: elegant, yet melancholic, bearing a wound from the past. the smile on her face is laced with pain and dried tears.

for the first time that chilly morning, i saw her hidden pain.

***
We were here before. The scenery’s the same, the buildings are still there, the trees are still there. Just that the trees are taller a little, the buildings older a little. But yet, the feeling I have now, is so much different.
