i think google and youtube are walking on a tight narrow rope. it's a balancing act when it comes to all this copyrighted stuff. while the wrangle over copyrights will certainly diminish youtube's usefulness and appeal(if they have to take down everything), i think there is still alot of potential in youtube in terms of uncovering the next big thing. people can post their creations, their works there and get discovered. and there is still a lot of room for interaction. but ja, without all the copyrighted stuff, i think it would be less exciting.

speaking of which, actually, those companies shouldnt be so uptight. they can in fact, use it to help generate publicity, to reach an even wider mass. of course you have to have some form of control over the way the stuff are posted. but once the details are settled, then i think there is certainly an opportunity.
