like the loose ankle that can never be the same again
Arsenal 2-0 Juventus
vindicated was what i felt when i saw hq's message that arsenal had beaten juve 2-0. of course i din watch the match, but i will watch the highlights later at 3am, unless Life printed wrongly again( they do make quite a few major errors in tv times, and it can be quite irritating, especially when you stay up just for a programme that din materialise. hey, it happens you know.) anyway, i read the match report. arsenal were outstanding.
fabregas came out tops against vieira.
frankly, with all the hype surrounding this matchup, vieira against fabregas, a hero's homecoming, the greatest gladiator in arsene wenger's team, there can only be two outcomes: vieira win or fabregas win. there can never be a draw. and let me tell you, with all this expectation, vieira would always be disadvantaged: he must play one of teh games of his life. an average game would be a disaster, because the expectation is there. and tremendous. so, right from the start, it is skewed towards fabregas. any lesser performance other than the best from vieira would mean fabregas had won. i dunno wad really happened, but i feel that this theory should, in some way explain the harsh criticism of vieira by the italian press. and hopefully, people can see that it might be a little unfair to do so.
that is not to say, i am trying to downplay what arsene wenger's boys did. i cant wait to watch the highlights, because i read and heard that they were outstanding. haven't i pleaded for people to trust arsene wenger when he sold vieira, and when the team was down at the start of the season? because a new team is rising. how can you not have faith in someone who has turned thierry henry from a reserve winger to the world class forward he is today? fabregas will get there one day too, surely. trust wenger.

i have thought about it carefully. we may all be ranting against this organisation. but we are ignoring something very important. a very valuable lesson, i should say. this organisation is playing its own game, with its own set of rules. that is why things are as they are now. but if we look beyond this agony, we see our own potential, when we play by our own rules. i think we would all be happier then.
how, you ask me.
frankly, i don't know. but i will figure out the answer soon. and i will tell you then. but at least we are taking the first step by identifying what we need to do. and you know the first step is always very important.
