german
the other day, we were walking along the street, when we hurried past this couple.
i caught abit of their conversation. and i couldn't help but smile.
because i recognised it to be german. it's good to hear it, because i haven't really heard it these 2 years.
it is like a close friend who has gone away. someone whom you are familiar with, but you have lost contact with for a while. we will get back together soon
and i still don't understand why people say german sounds uncouth. i think it sounds elegant too. as much as french, italian, spanish, japanese, whatever. i think i just like languages, that's all. and i can appreciate them.
because a long time ago, i knew they are the windows to a bigger world. and i really have discovered for myself how true it is, and how they really break barriers between people.
imagine the smile on someone's face when you speak to him in his language.
