super sub

when do you bring on a substitute?

-when a player is tired, you need to inject some new energy.

-when the game plan isn't working, you need a different approach.

-when you need to run down the clock. substitutions waste time.

-when a key player is out, you just need a replacement.

depending on the reason the substitution is made, a sub has to fulfil a specific role. of course it would be a bonus to do more, but often, he just has to do enough. like all other players. but since he is a sub, his responsibility is usually different from the rest. and there should of course be less expectation, since such a move is usually sort of a gamble.

so a sub might be brought on when the team is down. but he only needs to liven things up. if he can get the equaliser, create the equaliser, that would be a bonus. then he can be hailed as a hero. a supersub.

i am not interested in being a substitute.

i want to start. i want to be an important first team member of the squad.
